This past weekend, we enjoyed a giant snowstorm here in Philly. Grace preferred pointing out of the window and saying, "Snow out there!" to actually being in it. On Sunday when we finally dug our car out, she had more fun "pretending" to drive while Bill and I shoveled. My lovely cousin Emily visited us after having returned from Rome less than a week ago! Em and I had fun looking through old photos of my Rome trip and teaching Grace some Italian words ("Allora!" which means something like "anyway" in English, is the one word you hear in Rome a LOT.)
Although the snowstorm happened several days ago, you'd never know it by the looks of our poor little block - it's one solid sheet of ice. Forget taking walks - there are piles almost as tall as Grace at almost every intersection. We've still made a few trips to the library, but not much else. Allora! :) Thank God for a warm house to snuggle in and the luxury of days and days spending time with my little girlie, and people to wrap presents for.
