last night we had a great time celebrating halloween with our awesome neighbors. everyone sits out on their stoops and hands out candy to the little kids. i think there were a total of FIVE young girls going as hannah montana. i don't know who this hannah chick is, but i'm guessing she must be as cool as punky brewster was when i was their age! anyway, we had a blast giving out candy and letting grace walk between our neighbors' stoop and our stoop. she's a little unsure about walking on cement, and we're a little unsure about it too! but, she's got to learn some time...
one neighbor ordered pizza, and i made peanut butter cookies. for the last 2 years, my tradition is to bake something "fresh" (out of a box!) for the neighbors, so i can pass out "warm" treats. everyone shares food with each other, and walks into each other's houses, etc. i really love our block. if we ever move away from fishtown some day, i'm really going to miss this tradition!
