in a blogging update frenzy, i have one more thing to add. then, i have to go back to baking cookies for my friend's cookie exchange happening tomorrow. i procrastinated and saved all the baking for the day before the exchange. awesome idea. today i baked 2 types of cookies and i'm about to go bake one more. i did all the dough in the morning, went out, came home, and did the baking part. a good system, if you like hanging out in the kitchen all day...
i love being "that" person in grace's life. even if it means staying home and struggling/wrestling with that new role (yet cherishing it - deep down), even if it means waking up at any hour of the night to help with a teething problem or a stubborn cough, even if it means putting my own needs after someone else's on a constant basis. i love being the person that can calm the crying, the person that can soothe any ache, and the person that can make a huge smile come across grace's face. i love being a mother.
now, back to baking. ;-)
