Now is the shining fabric of our day
Torn open, flung apart, rent wide by love.
Never again the tight, enclosing sky,
The blue bowl or the star-illumined tent.
We are laid open to infinity
For Easter love has burst His tomb and ours.
Now nothing shelters us from God's desire --
Not flesh, not sky, not stars, not even sin.
Now glory waits so He can enter in.
Now does the dance begin.

I'm reading a commentary on the book of John by Bruce Milne "The Message of John". My church has been going through the book of John since last September. I've never read one book of the Bible for this long. I am amazed at all the things God taught me through it. My Pastors preached some ridiculously good sermons and Bill and I had many good conversations about it. This poem is one of the references used in the commentary. This was my first time reading a commentary, and it proved so helpful. Bruce Milne points out how the text of John relates to our personal lives, the lives of others around the world, world history, the Old Testament, and more. So enriching.
Don't worry, I'll post something about Grace soon. :)
